Mountains
and Oceans!
Each town we visit on this tour of northeast
Italy will offer such a different experience from the last.
Not only will we marvel at historic Italy, with the 2000-year
old Roman ruins in Verona, but then after a short drive,
we’ll start hearing more German than Italian and find
ourselves dining on bratwurst and sauerkraut after a day
hiking among the jagged spires of the Dolomite Mountains
in the eastern Alps.
Then we’ll end our tour in Venice,
the city built on water, where we’ll take a canal
tour and watch how Venetian hand-blown glass is made. This
is not a cathedral tour or an art tour, though during the
free time, guests may wish to visit some splendid churches
or museums. Instead, this tour will give travelers a sense
of the very best that these 3 very different locations have
to offer in terms of history, scenery, and of course, food
and wine.
